I haven’t come up with anything to blog about in the past few days, so I thought I’d blog about not blogging. That’s the problem with having a blog. When I don’t have anything to blog about, I feel like I’m doing a disservice to those who have chosen to follow my blog. But I don’t want to just make stuff up. I don’t know how Aunt B does it, but she always has something interesting and though provoking to say. Usually numerous times a day. I wish I could be like that.
I didn’t really do much this weekend. Friday night I watched as Vanderbilt lost in the NCAA championships by 1 point in the final 1.5 minutes. It was very sad. I was out with a couple friends at Cabana in the Village and the whole restaurant went silent. But there was nothing we could do. It was almost like we needed, as a group, to find something to do to make the situation better, but we couldn’t. It was a very empty, lost feeling. Then we went bowling, where I was reprimanded for trying to take pictures, so I don’t have any pictures for you. Sawry.

So I think I’ve settled on this green theme. Hope its not too green. But in honor of spring, and its appropriately warm and sunny arrival, in addition to the fact that my website has the word “garden” in it, I figured green would be a good choice.
If you haven’t noticed, I’ve added a Flickr feed at the bottom of my sidebar. It took a few tries, but its working now. Guess this means I better start taking more pictures so you don’t get bored. I upgraded my Flickr account to “pro” today, so I can upload as many as I want, which means I can take pictures of my shoes for your enjoyment and not have to worry about maxing out my quota. Aren’t you lucky?

Being astute as my readers are, you are probably wondering what has prompted me to start blogging more frequently. Well, since you asked, I’ll tell you. About two weeks ago, the ABE crew (and by “crew” I mean the whole clan, not just the techie people) went out for food after the show and met up with some ABE friendlies, including a prolific blogger who goes by the name Aunt. B. She kindly informed me that there is an entire community of Nashville bloggers who actually meet up regularly. I thought that was incredibly cool and made a mental note to check out her blog the next day. Low and behold, she had already accounted our discussion on her blog, plus numerous other postings in the time it took me to remember to even look her up.
Anyway, I was clicking around on her website and found “Nashville is Talking“, a WKRN sponsored website that Jason told me about a while ago, but didn’t look up at the time. It’s managed by a woman named Brittany and is a conglomeration of snippets from blogs by Nashvillians. On the off chance my blog had been quoted, I searched the site for “garden” and, surprisingly enough, got two results. One was in specific reference to my post about the Fit and another was just announcing me as a new site. Pretty cool. And I have to be honest, a little recognition is all it takes to kick me into high gear. I’m just interested to see how long this lasts.
