Gonna have a Fit
Okay, so the title is a little deceiving, but it has its merits.
In 2 short weeks, I should be the owner of a brand new Honda Fit (“The Fit is Go”). I say “should” because there is still a slight chance it could be sold out from underneath me. Here’s the deal.
The Fit is the newest in Honda’s lineup and boasts itself as a small silver bullet with a surprisingly roomy interior. That said, it is only made in Japan and the US is just now getting their hands on it. Europe and Japan have been able to purchase it for a few years (under the name of “Jazz”), but its said that only 60,000 will make it to the US this year. So, the one I have my eye on should arrive the week of Feb. 22nd.
Now, I’ve signed an agreement with Honda that I will pay the price we agreed to, but I have not signed any financial paperwork (even though they were more than willing to let me sign it two weeks before I even have the car). So, technically, the sale is not complete and they could, as underhanded and cruel as it would be, sell it to someone else who is willing to pay more and be suckered into their “extra costs”. In that case, I would throw a fit and do my best to make them regret it. :) Hopefully it won’t come to that.
I’m trying not to get too excited, though. I will definitely keep you updated.

Correction: You have a deal pending with Crest Honda. Not Honda itself. If Crest turns out to be jerky, we’ll just go to a different dealer. So don’t sweat it.

I have 2… no 3 comments.
1. I have little car envy. Now that my husband and I are living in a fairly urban area (read: Lots of parallel parking) I have the utmost desire for a car that I can ‘zip’ around in. I hope Crest Honda is good to you and you get your little car. 2. I personally vote for normaninvasion 3.Your blog rocks! Maybe next time you’re in SoCal the OCHSA reunion will work out and we can introduce our Jasons to each other.
Take care!
