Back to the grind
So I made it back to Nashville safely and am already back to work. Jason is taking the whole week off…I can’t decide if he’s lucky or lazy. :P Surprisingly, I’m getting a lot done, considering everyone in my office is either sick or on vacation. It makes it very tempting to just go home and spend time with Jason and the dogs.
The rest of my vacation was nice. Christmas was pretty uneventful and we saw a few more movies: King Kong, Rumor has it, and Good Night & Good Luck. I didn’t know anything about the last one, except that George Clooney, who my mother loves, directed and produced it, and had a leading role. King Kong was very good, even if it is weird to think about love between a giant gorilla and a woman. Rumor Has It was ‘cute’, Kevin Costner was very charming, and Jennifer Aniston cried a lot. My mom thinks that’s her “I don’t need Brad” movie, but to me, it seemed like an awful lot of crying and begging to be a ‘come-back’ movie. Oh well.
This weekend for New Years we’re going to a co-worker’s/friend’s house for food, drinks, and games. First we’re going up to Clarksville to have my Christmas with Jason’s family. It got a little delayed this year, but close enough.
Happy New Year!
